20 teams have registered for the Heart Stopper Challenge on Friday 10th October

We have food, drinks, bouncy castle, fun and entertainment sorted. AJ from the Hits is our MC.

Team Jolly 470 sailing team will be there to plunge and cheer the teams on. They – Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie - are the London 2012 Gold Medal Winners and ISAF World Female Sailors of the Year 2013 and are currently working towards Rio 2016!

They will bring their gold medals on the day –great fun for kids (and big kids) to have photos with.

Still time ti register.  Contact Judith now if you are brave enough to plunge.

Come join us from 12 to 2pm for hilarity and community as we raise funds for children having heart surgery.

Registrations are now open for Camp Brave Hearts

Camp Brave Hearts is for heart kids aged 8-12 years to engage in outdoor pursuit activities in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

This week long camp will be held from 12-16 January 2015 at Lake Taupo Christian Camp. It is an opportunity for heart kids to do adventurous fun activities, make friendships, and build confidence and independence.

As numbers are limited we have a selection criteria for campers and each application is considered with this in mind.

1) Your heart child is unable to attend a school or holiday camp due to the severity of his/her heart condition. 2) Your child applied for 2014 Camp but was declined due to the high number of applicants. 3) Recognition of you/your family as an active Branch Member of Heart Kids. 4) All other applicants.

If points 1-3 listed above apply to your child's situation, please include the information with your application, either on or attached to, the form in support of your child's application.

Volunteer Adult Helpers

Of course we can't run Camp Brave Hearts without our team of volunteer adult helpers - many Heart Kids parents. Please consider coming along to help heart kids take on challenges, share your experiences with them and have some fun together. If you would like to be considered for this role, please download the Adult Helper Application Form below or contact the National Office directly and one will be posted/emailed. Please submit this form with your child's application.

As part of our leadership development opportunity and succession planning for Heart Kids we reserve eight adult helper positions for young heart adults aged between 18 and 25 years. Young heart adults can apply by completing the Adult Helper Application Form.

As always our ability to hold this event is dependent on the success of a number of fundraising initiatives currently in progress. Donations from camp attendees are greatly appreciated (suggested amount $150.00)

You will be notified that the camp is to go ahead and whether your application is successful on or before 1st December 2014.

See www.heartnz.org.nz for the application forms.

After an issue with our last website we are just getting this one up and running.

I am sorry not all the parts are loaded yet.  We are updating this whenever we can.
